The employer can always ban the maid/nanny girl to take friends to her maid/nanny room, and also say they want to employ a young girl without any children. But if she has a boyfriend who she visits during breaks, they employer will probably never know that.

If the govt don fine the employer (pay 5kbond)if maid get pregnant, n if the employer don hv to bear for the maid hospitalisatin bills, jus like one recently whose maid got pregnant, even 5 doctors cannot diagnose she was pregnant. end up the employer was told to bear for her 100k hospital bills bec baby got problem stay in icu, choke up the bills to 100k. do the boyfriend call this humanitarian?  where is the boyfriend now? is he going to pay for the fine, bills? the maid can only say sorry but no money, so is it fair or humanitarian?

Mayb the lovely maid may consider to work for 2 yrs n go back to find a boyfriend n get married; since they want to get married n hv the feel of being woman, able to fall in love.

There are always choice n arrangement. if maid wants to fall in love n make money at the same time, mayb they can choose to go back to their hometown, due to special rules set in S'pore. If the guys in their country are good enough, can afford, then marry her n don allow her to work here. The maid always claim their hometown guy useless, don tell me they are taking the opportunity to get one here at the employer's expenses, is it fair? most maid already enjoyed loved life before they come to S'pore. Most claimed they wanted to make more money but not keen to fall in love, but how true? Unless the boyfriend stand out n say he will pay for everything, place the guaranteed amt  with the govt, mayb maid shd b allowed to hv boyfriend. but which boyfriend wants to do that? yet they want the employer to provide him free girlfriend, free lodging n guarantor n bear fine n hospital bills for him. how can? if not, they w call this not fair, no humanitarian?!

The employer got their interest to take care, the maid wants money n enjoy love life which mayb a bit difficult. As most employer may not be very wealthy to sponsor them both, esp the fine n hospital bills.

If the employer d not employ these group of people fm the poorer country, does the boyfriend got a chance to meet this girl-maid? why blame the employer being strict. in the first place. employer don employ maid to provide this boyfriend a girlfriend. employer employ the maid to help n release their work load.

The complicated issue of maid problems are a whole load of headaches. pls do not ask employer to bear more than wat they can afford. huge medical bills n bond, social problem, husband bein snatch etc. 

The govt set the rules must hv a reason, to prevent additional or unwanted social problem to occur-caused by these group of foreigner-maid n boyfriend, unwanted babies etc.

Let's be fair, each one had their own intersts to take care.
