(1) How long it takes you to adapt to the working environment

experience maid like me 1day can adapt

(2) What do you expect your employer to be when you first started work

1. Treat maid with respect. maids are human too.
2. Give proper food, not only nodles, bun, nodles & bun, and leftover food everytime.
3. teach when we dont know, scolding, shout make maid afraid to aproch the employer
4. Do no use bad word, do not throw thing at them
5. give them time to learn
6. give time to rest or sleep. if we look after newbon baby and need wake up at night then give us rest in afternon

(3) Why maids always repeat the same mistakes even they know that it can be avoided

maids are human and all human make mistake or do wrong. if employer can do mistake why cannot for maid

(4) What mentally maids have when they decided to work in Singapore but later stage their bad attitude arises

i think when employer become demanding or bad attitude the maid will be bad attitude also.

(5) Do maids know that once they have spoilt their employers' stuffs, their salary will be deducted as an compensation

if we are careless and break something sure we are willing to pay. But good employer will not ask maid pay. Bad employers will always blame maid when thing spoilt. some of the things old already or the children make spoilt but employer never belief us so we no choice just pay!

(6) Why do maids don't close the toilet door when they are doing 'business' (passing motion or urine)

of cost we close door

(7) Do the maids ever been trained how to look after / coax the children in the training school

this thing cannot be teach. is up to the maid if she like children. if dont like children then they dont want to play or talk to children.

(9) How do maids feel if they are been reprimand on their mistakes made

if maid is wrong its ok we get scolding. But important also respect the maid. if scold all bad words also make the maid not happy. Also sometime not maid mistake; if the madam ask maid to cook then the amah say dont cook, so what the maid going to do? anything she do also wrong, she cook amah scold and never cook madam scold.

(20) Why do some maids eat a little portion when they first started to work

i think not use to the food. many filipina dont eat nodle, or bread. the eat rice everytime

As for me, it takes 1-6 months, Why? your maid is came from another part of asia, she adjust the invironment, her boss attitude , her duties and responsibilities,  And your maid is not really very very poor, she;s either high school or college graduate some of them finnished with a 3 kinds of bachelor degree.

a,) orientation of the job, attitude,and the family

(3) Why maids always repeat the same mistakes even they know that it can be avoided. I willnot aggree that questions if theyrepeat it might they dont understand the chinse english accent , And chinse employeers expect to much and some of them has a barbarric character

if they became bad, may be , the employeer are bad too, unrespectful, trait them like animal and robot, may be employeer are inhuman too,

(5) Do maids know that once they have spoilt their employers' stuffs, their salary will be deducted as an compensation. Yes they knows it very will, and im pretty sure that their agency orient them very will, and sometimes too employeers are prejudice and fault finder, and giving them wrong accusations,

(7) Do the maids ever been trained how to look after / coax the children in the training school. They learned many things,i know that they paid it much in Philippines agency, and they know their rights so employeer be aware if might they will charge you, of moral damaged and any kinds  of abuse. filipino maids are smart.

(8) In training school, what did the maids learn/

Most agency hired an x abroad to teached them cook, clean, and of course do the house chores.

May be the english you had " accent is not clear to them

(9) How do maids feel if they are been reprimand on their mistakes made.

Of course depressed so depressed and some of them wants to quit and go home

They dont like your noodles, caused Filipino eat 3 times a day with rice, and meat, or fish

As for me its not rude, you should know about this, I can answer you a lot caaused i was a maid before in chinse family and i ahd a very bad experienced with them, but i survived and i found a very rich jewish and russian wife , which trait me as human, and let me to travel with them all over the world, the russian wife is quite  had a loud voice but very respectful and they admit that filipinos are good workers, and speak good english and most domestic helpers are professional, so if you wish to ask me i willnever hessitate to answer you.

Sorry if I may sound rude. I just want to get to know how maids feel & will try to understand them well. Maids & employers do want harmony, right?
